Customer Review: will NEVER listen to or watch this guy again
I wish there were a ZERO star option for reviews.

Up front, I will admit I never read this or any other of Matthew Margolis’s books. I watched his show on PBS sever times before calling him.

I had a very bad experience with Mr. Margolis over the phone. I called him for advice/help when my dog bit my friend. Margolis told me I needed to send my dog to California (from the Midwest) for “reconditioning”. He offered no other alternatives when I asked what else I could do.

When I explained that I simply couldn’t just fork over $600 for his “reconditioning” classes plus the cost to ship my dog there, he got agitated and began berating me. He even said my dog was going to probably “rip off” my mother’s face next. Obviously he was trying to scare me into sending my dog and money to California.

I told him I’d find someone in Chicago to help me and he said “Good luck because I doubt you will.” By the time I got off the phone (after 5 minutes of questions regarding the dog‘s background and 15 minutes of blatent verbal abuse), I was crying (believe me, I don’t cry easily). My co-workers that were standing in my office told me they could hear him yelling at me through the phone receiver.

I found a great pet Behaviorist (Dr. Robert Andrysco) through my vet and my dog is doing very well.

I am not saying Margolis’s books don’t work because I don’t know. Obviously, by looking at the other reviewers they seem to help some people. I’m just saying I will NEVER support this so-called trainer by buying or suggesting his products to anyone.
