Jefferson Co. horse owner faces cruelty charges 
CHARLES TOWN, W.VA. – A Charles Town man was charged Monday morning with 10 counts of cruelty to animals after Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department deputies found five dead horses on a farm off Huyett Road south of town and discovered that about 10 horses on the property were malnourished, according to court records.

Woman sought in animal neglect case in Broome County 
The number of dead goats found on property at 500 South St. in the Town of Barker increased over the weekend when five were found covered with hay and lime in a horse trailer and a sixth was found nearby, the Broome County Sheriffs Office reported.
