Factory-Reconditioned Dyson DC 14 All Floors Upright Bagless Vacuum, Steel Yellow Customer Review: She said the Dyson drives like her BMW!
First of all, let me say that over the past 20 years, we have purchased at least 15 vacuums. Only to be disappointed time and time again. After hearing my wife’s constant complaining about the Eureka, she asked for a Dyson. This idea of course was hatched after her viewing a late nite infomercial. She wanted a Dyson period! We were in the the process of re-financing, so an appraiser was scheduled to come by and look at the house. Would’nt you know it, the Eureka broke down. Just plain pitiful. This gave my wife the ammunition she needed. So after doing some extensive research, and reading unbias reviews, I decided to make the purchase. Since the price is hefty, I checked Ebay and other online vendors, I decided on Amazon. This company is amazing! I ordered the reconditioned DC-14 around new years, and it arrived in about four days. It was packaged very securely, along with the manuals and attachments. Everything was complete. When I finally got it out of the box, my wife nearly fainted! She’s been craving for a Dyson since last year. And to her surprise, out comes this “brand new looking” DC-14. I mean it looked like it was fresh from the factory and never used. It took all about two minutes to attach the wand base, remove the safety tab, and plug it up. First of all, this vacuum looks like it’s ready to do battle. The design is flawless and futuristic. After turning it on, we could’nt help but notice how very quiet it was. My wife said it handles like a well built car. She outta know, since she drives a 740iL. At any rate, my wife started in the most used room of the house, which is the great room. She of course had just vacuumed the earlier that morning. The Dyson’s canister immediately began to fill with the dust and carpet fibers that our old vacuum missed. We were amazed! Also, we noticed that as the Dyson was running across the carpet, the smell emitting from the vacuum had a clean odor, and no dust was accompanying it like our old Eureka. We then tried the stair tool attachment. It did rather well, but it’s not good for picking up from the crevices. However, this unit did come with a crevice attachment, and it worked pretty good. This particular Dyson does’nt come with the mini turbo tool, but you can purchase it seperately from Amazon or Ebay. Press the large yellow button on the top front, and out pops the removable wand. The wand comes in handy when vacuuming up and down the stairs, plus the vacuum stays put while your using it. What an original idea. Finally, when your finished just press the unlock button and the canister detaches without a hitch. Near the top of the canister, is a red trigger button, which you press to release the bottom to easily dump what your old vacuum missed. And here’s the good part, you never touch any dust, or have to bang the side of the garbage can, to empty the canister completely. Pop it back on the front, and your ready for another round. The last room she vacuumed was the bedroom. Then she really showed me just how pleased she was! But that’s none of your business! Now back to the Dyson. So far I’m extremely pleased with my purchase. I managed to get a good deal from Amazon, my wife is elated, and I like to think that the Dyson will make our home safer to breath in. Forget hiding the vacuum in the laundry room. This badboy stays in the great room on display! Fellows, if your reading this, do yourself a favor. Get off the Lazy-Boy, and purchase a Dyson for your better half. Although, your wife may not drive a beemer, I promise you’ll be glad you did, and she’ll love ya’ for it! (Then she’ll ask you for a beemer! LOL)
